Will today’s news encourage you to alter your music streaming service? Let us know on Twitter. Amazon Music Unlimited is a premium music subscription service, featuring 100 million songs in HD and millions of songs in Ultra HD. The single device plan designed for Echo devices is £4.99, while the family plan is £16.99. The paid Music Unlimited subscription features the full catalogue of music on demand with lossless quality and spatial audio. Previously it was only two million, so that’s definitely worth shouting about. Amazon does offer Prime members access to the full library of 100 million songs, ad-free in shuffle mode. New and existing subscribers to the Amazon Music Unlimited Individual Plan, at 7.99/month for Prime members and 9.99/month for Amazon customers, or the Family Plan, at 14.99/month, can now easily upgrade to Amazon Music HD at no extra cost. Prime Members will still get Unlimited for £1/$1 cheaper, which doesn’t feel like that great a perk in truth. Why are the prices going up? Well, Amazon says it’s “to help us bring you even more content and features.” That probably means Amazon is going to be spending more on podcasts, rather than investing in music. Not to be confused with Amazon Prime Music, which is part of the Amazon Prime subscription, Amazon Music Unlimited is an ad-free premium service. However, if this is one price hike too much, here’s how to cancel Amazon Music Unlimited. The Amazon Music Unlimited Family subscription plan lets up to six family members access the service for £14.99/month for both Prime and non-Prime customers, or £149/year for Prime members. Both plans are available on Apple devices and listeners can enjoy original shows, concerts, exclusives, and live and ondemand. Both plans allow listeners to request tracks, albums, playlists or stations by asking Siri or using Type to Siri. It allows up to six people to have their own individual account for £14.99/14.99 a month if youre not a Prime subscriber, putting it on par. The Apple Music Voice plan costs 4.99 per month while the Individual plan costs 10.99 per month. So, if you’ve been subscribing to Amazon to save a literal buck, Brits still can. Amazon Music Unlimited also offers a family plan. The increase is now in line with what Apple Music charges subscribers in the US for its individual plan, but still £1 cheaper than the UK price (£9.99 vs $10.99).
